Cora is the lightning bolt that infuses Ligon Marketing with a unique energy and do-anything vibe. She understands that a networking community is critical to growing a business, and she makes it her business to open doors to a path of continual success for your company. You are only a stranger to Cora once. She was born in the United States but spent her childhood in Papua New Guinea with her missionary family. Her cross-cultural experiences and multilingual background give her deep insight to communication between different groups and types of people. She also holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & International Business from Regent University. Add education to her years in business marketing, advertising, sales, and management, and you have a master of the trade. Marketing and branding your business in a highly competitive market can be daunting. You need more than a good idea; you need the energy, expertise, and out-of-the-box thinking to make that idea a successful reality. Cora delivers that critical combination. Jane knows client service and has a passion for helping businesses grow and succeed. With a college background in art and marketing, she brings a discerning eye to the planning table. Jane has more than 12 years of advertising and marketing experience in print, radio, and the tourism industry. Before that, she spent many years in retail sales and management. She listens to clients, is extremely organized, and knows how to leverage marketing dollars. (That quiet demeanor disguises a fierce negotiator.) Her diverse background, coupled with her strong desire to help, make Jane an invaluable asset to Ligon Marketing’s clients in the competitive world of advertising and marketing. Amy is easygoing in a way that is both warm and intriguing. She defines creative passion, laced with the technical know-how to produce and analyze websites and social media platforms. With more than 15 years as a content developer, graphic designer, photographer, social media manager, and blogger, Amy oversees our clients’ digital strategies and reporting, as well the creative work and content calendars of our writers and designers. Her diverse skill set brings client visions to reality on the internet, with websites that are crisp and appealing, easy to navigate, and attentive to the details. While Amy focuses on developing strategies and designing websites and other materials for Ligon Marketing, her personal knowledge of running a small business adds valuable insight to client strategy sessions. Lorrie may seem quiet when you first meet her, but she is a go-getter who enjoys working with clients to solve problems, develop marketing plans, coordinate events, and handle various details of business management. Her attention to detail, deadlines, and dollars makes her an ideal manager for Ligon Marketing’s operations, in addition to her client relations role. Much of her career has been in direct account service, with experience that spans graphic design, billing, copywriting, printing, and promotional items. Clients have ranged from health care to restaurants and almost everything in between. She knows our Polk County market well and has established relationships with clients, vendors, and media outlets. Lorrie earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee, majoring in advertising. She also has a secret identity as a varsity tennis coach, but that’s another story. Alek is a thoughtful and outgoing guy, who brings a creative mind and solid media experience to our clients. His interest in sculpting and drawing led him to pursue an advertising and graphic design degree from the University of South Florida, but a marketing job for the university’s student newspaper gave him a taste of consulting and client service. After nearly a decade on the media sales side of advertising and receiving ten awards, Alek is able to combine his passions on the Ligon Marketing team, where he can work with clients to develop well-rounded solutions to increase their business. “Put your consumer shoes on” is Alek’s trademark phrase for exploring how and why customers make decisions. As a Client Marketing & Creative Manager at Ligon Marketing, he’ll be wearing those shoes often and walking the talk with our clients and team. Alek lives in Tampa with his wife, son and two dogs. Cindy grew up with a love of reading and writing (arithmetic, not so much). Words are her magic, and a good story is golden. She enjoys learning the core of a client’s passion and business, so she can tell the right stories, whether in news releases, articles, blogs, website content, or social media posts – and preferably, all of those. After graduating with a communications degree from Florida Southern College, Cindy spent the next 30 years as public relations and marketing director for a major health care provider. She has vast experience in community relations, media relations, and crisis communications, along with a dose of fundraising. Her background brings a unique perspective to Ligon Marketing’s work for our health-related and not-for-profit clients. She thrives on a team approach and using her skills to help organizations realize their goals.
