We are a dynamic church located north of Callahan, FL. Come experience dynamic teaching, illustrated sermons, and contemporary worship. It is our great hope that you will visit us on one of our three services per week. Nursery and childcare is provided. More information about who we are is below. Who Attends Lighthouse Prayer Center? We are from many walks of life and denominational backgrounds. We are business owners, students, retirees, secretaries, construction and factory workers, school employees, professionals, executive assistants, mechanics, investors, military, housewives, truck drivers, accountants, etc. We are of various faith traditions: Baptists, Methodists, Assemblies of God, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Charismatic, Church of God, Lutheran, and others who have had no Christian background at all. Our common ground is we have a passion to know God and are committed to being a congregation united in love. You will discover the atmosphere at LPC is a warm and welcoming worship environment where an array of dress styles can be found. You may see everything from jeans, business attire, and professional casual. We want you to feel comfortable and modest in whatever you choose to wear and focus instead on the faith filled teaching of God’s Word and entering His presence through worship and praise. Psalm 150 – “Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament . . . .” As God’s people, we will be His church gathering as one to worship and study His Word, to fellowship with and pray one for another, to impact our community, and partner with global missionaries to win the world through evangelism and acts of kindness as we follow Christ. We believe believers must take deliberate action to ever increase faith. Jesus taught “as your faith is, so be it unto you.” We are given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Without faith, man cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith comes from hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17) and building yourself up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 20). Without action, faith decreases. With action, faith increases and can move mountains. Personal Evangelism & World Missions: We believe in the Great Commission and emphasize witnessing and supporting mission activities around the world. Here is a sample prayer to help you begin your new relationship with God. Affirmation: It is important for you to verbally affirm daily your new life choice to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. As you follow Christ you will discover the need to think differently about yourself and lifestyle (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17, 10:3-6). Here is a suggestion: Find a positive, faith-filled church that teaches the Bible to attend. This will provide you with Biblical teaching and a social network of friendships, accountability as you grow in your new-found faith, and opportunities to serve Christ by serving those in need (Matthew 5:16; Acts 2:42, 46).
