OUR MISSION The mission of LifeEquip is to impact local communities by partnering with senior pastors, faith-based business leaders, and community stakeholders to increase the reach and effectiveness of the local church. We are comprised of a team of innovators, operators, and entrepreneurs that are seeking to combine decades of experience leading teams, initiatives, and operations for world-class, Fortune 100 organizations with a heart for the vitality and effectiveness of the local church. Our goal is to achieve maximum impact for the local community. Bob holds a Master of Arts in theology, a Bachelor of Arts in church ministry, and minor in public speaking. For 18 years, Bob, his wife Bonnie, and their children served in church ministry as youth pastor, lead pastor, and as a ministry planter. When family circumstances required a change, Bob accepted a position with Premier Designs, Inc. where he has been Vice President for 14 years. Bob understands that God has prepared his life to equip others for the work of ministry. Bob serves as Directional Pastor at MacArthur Blvd. where he oversees the spiritual, missional, and organizational health and progress of the church. He is also directly involved in equipping members to do the work of the ministry through discipleship and teaching. Gene has forty years of ministry and business experience internationally and in the US. He has lived in SE Asia and Africa. He served twelve years as field director with NTM Thailand, was the founder of Grace International School, Cornerstone Language Schools, CCF church, and also founder/owner of a number of businesses in Thailand used as a platform of employment for the nationals. Since returning to the USA in 2003, Gene has served as the development director for NTM International, Executive Director for BRC Foundation, launched a commodities trading project in Africa, and owns a consulting company that works with businesses and ministries. He offers assistance in fund development, educational start-ups, and missional business initiatives. Gene has many years of experience in leadership, vision building, fundraising, and pastoral work. He serves on six boards and is an elder at Faith Community Church. Presently, Gene is the Gateway Language Director for Wycliffe Associates for the South Pacific region. Gene & Sherrie have two adult children and six wonderful grandchildren. Both children and their families are in full-time ministry. Stephen (Steve) Long is a Principal of LifeEquip, Inc. and has over 17 years of experience leading major projects, operations, and strategic initiatives within large organizations. Steve leads strategic projects and M&A for a ~$1B global business unit of GE Power and has previously held senior management roles in new product development, commercial operations, and business development. Prior to his career at GE, Steve served 8 years as a Submarine Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he led large teams performing the operation and maintenance of a nuclear fast-attack submarine and was responsible for the organizational turnaround of several under-performing teams. He specializes in strategy, leading others through ambiguity, process improvement, and complex problem solving. Steve has a heart for the leadership and organizational effectiveness of the local church and desires to use his talents and experience to help churches and pastors implement simple, self-sustaining strategies, operations, and ministries that provide a robust foundation for cohesive growth. He currently serves on the worship team (drums) of his local church and works with members of the congregation to identify and develop self-sustaining ministry opportunities for those in need of housing, financial resources, life management skills, etc. Steve holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is also a graduate of GE’s flagship leadership development and business management programs at Crotonville. Steve is married to his wife of 10 years, Liz, and they have two young boys, Ethan and Jack. Daniel Hopper is a LifeEquip board member. He has 15 years of experience as an executive leader in software design and architecture, system infrastructure design, and system integrations in the auto industry. He was previously an Enterprise Architect for CDK Global, the Chief Technology Officer for Tribinium, and Chief Software Architect for ADP/BZ Results. In Daniel’s current position, he is responsible for the architecture and engineering of the CarSaver platforms. He also has 10 years of experience as a worship leader, developing teams, and working in worship technology. Scott has always had a heart for ministry and an empathy for the struggles of a pastor. His professional experience led him to see a way that he could help. He currently serves as President of LifeEquip, Inc. and is managing partner of a management consulting firm. His current roles allow him to help pastors and business owners maximize efficiency to ultimately achieve their goals. Brenda Stewart has her Masters of Arts in clinical mental health counseling, is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and has completed EMDR Level 1 training. Brenda has served in various capacities with Crossroads Counseling Centers, Queen of Peace Center, Tavryiyskiy Christian Institute, State Farm, Lake Mary Preparatory School, J. Rolfe Davis Insurance, Reliance Standard Life Insurance, and Florida Hospital. Brenda has a tremendous heart to serve others and see hearts heal. She rejoices in every opportunity to counsel and is proud to serve as a member of the LifeEquip team. Emilyann is an author, artist, designer, and marketing specialist. She studied graphic design and creative writing in college, before graduating with a BFA in digital art and a minor in art history. She hopes to share a love for others and God in all she does. She works to further the reach of God’s love and help strengthen local churches by serving as a Sunday school teacher and through her communications and editorial work with LifeEquip.
