Lewis Oil Company, Inc., founded by H. Wendell Lewis as a family business in Gainesville, Florida, has been committed to service excellence since its inception as Wendell Lewis, Inc. in 1973. Originally an employee of Standard Oil, Mr. Lewis acquired the company’s product distribution agency and rebranded it as Lewis Oil Company, Inc., in 1981. Over the years, under the leadership of Wenda A. Lewis, VP & CEO, the business has expanded its operations while maintaining family values. The company is not only a major marketer of petroleum products, delivering upwards of 30 million gallons to various sectors across 14 counties in North Central Florida but also plays a critical role as a first responder for several emergency services and local institutions including Shands and North Florida Regional Hospitals, the University of Florida, media stations, and power plants. In addition to its operational commitments, Lewis Oil has made significant contributions to charitable causes, with Wenda A. Lewis personally raising over $500,000 for the Alzheimer's Association.
