To introduce you to Leave a Life Legacy, I'll start with a story... Leave a Life Legacy (LLL) was founded to ensure that this is not the end of Debbie's story. “Debbie lived an exciting and meaningful life. Because she sought out the services of Leave a Life Legacy, her great-great-grandchildren will be able to hold in their hands Debbie's story, told in her own words. They will be able to hear her voice as she tells it. She has left her Life Legacy.” I graduated high school in a small Iowa town called Mount Vernon, and will always have a special tie to this community. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Bioinformatics (computer science with biological applications) from the University of Northern Iowa. In my senior year, I became interested in Business, and joined the John Pappajohn Small Business Incubator program, as well as took several business courses that the program offered. I believe that my combined experience in these areas, as well as jobs in an assisted living community, customer service, and sales, make me especially qualified for Personal History. And I love it! I started Leave a Life Legacy (LLL) in 2011 because my dad mentioned that he thought he could write a book but he doesn't have the patience to sit down and type it. As I listened to him, I quickly realized I couldn't type as fast as he could talk! We bought a recorder, and the first people I interviewed were my grandparents. I am so grateful to have those recordings, especially since my grandfather passed away in 2015. As I told others about this experience, I realized many people would love to share stories of their own lives, as well as know stories of their relatives. Thus LLL was born. I love knowing that my clients and their families will be able to treasure this work for generations and that I had a small part in it. I moved to beautiful Southwest Florida in 2014 and also work as a Veterinary Technician in Naples as Leave a Life Legacy is growing. "Helping people tell and share their stories."
