Beth is co-founder of /lit/ -Leadership Institute of Tomorrow. She has a BS in Business Administration from Boston University with concentrations in International Management and Marketing. She in an entrepreneur and has successful run multiple global businesses. Marlene Green is a professional executive coach, trainer, and author who has provided team building, executive coaching expertise and talent development for senior executives in Fortune 500 corporations, non-profit organizations and academia. Additionally, she is a lecturer and resource on executive coaching for The Kellogg School of Management. We believe strongly that great leadership is a learnable skill by anybody. However, most youth will go through school without the proper training in what it takes to an effective communicator, listener and leader. To often we learn bad habits early in life that will undermine our potential and limit our success. The curriculum we have built will help students learn the building blocks of leadership through experiential activities, role playing and fun group activities. Our children need to gain confidence speaking in front of others and be focused on achieving bigger goals. Achieving their dreams starts with being open to that possibility and learning the skills to unlock their potential. By connecting with others, rather than just communicating with them they can rally people to their cause and generate support for their goals. Often this will lead to greater opportunity, personal and eventually professional growth and success. These skills will also help them interact with family, friends, teachers, coaches and eventually on college interviews, etc. Uncovering and reversing one bad habit can be personally transformative and have a wide reaching and positive effect on a person for life. In order to achieve great success we believe we need to start with the basic skills that will help set us on the path to a brighter future. Effective leadership expression is not actively taught in schools. There is a gap between what is learned in the classroom and what is needed in highschool, college, and in life. Leadership can help students make more friends, get better grades, and be able to deal with stress with grace. Our goal is to inspire personal leadership through fun, role-playing, and interactive lessons. Youth Leadership Seminars help students to connect not just communicate, be more present and focused on tasks, develop great listening skills, be open to possibility and unlock their hidden potential.
