Founded originally as an “administrative entity” for processing the inevitable paperwork, Leader Engineering has evolved steadily over the years to become a recognised leader in engineering consultancy services. Leader Engineering is managed by engineers, not recruiters as hands-on, practical people with an in-depth personal knowledge of the industry, we can – and do – talk to our clients and consultants about job specifics. The heritage of Leader Engineering can be traced back as far as the late 1970’s. That was when founder Grahame Roberts took his first steps into the international oil & gas industry, in the newly-formed United Arab Emirates. Grahame embarked upon a career that would go on to take him as far afield as Algeria, Pakistan and Canada. It was whilst working in Nigeria on the Erha project in 2005 that he established Leader Engineering. Having helped bring a number of colleagues into the project, he set up the business primarily to fulfil the administrative functions that come with working as a contractor. It was the start of an industry success story. Over the next 10 years, Leader developed into a dedicated and professional energy recruitment company: a family-run business founded upon Grahame’s skills and experience in representing former colleagues from all over the world. In 2013, Anton Round joined the company as Managing Director. By combining Grahame’s unparalleled knowledge of the industry and West Africa operations, and Anton’s extensive recruitment expertise, a formidable union was formed.
