LEAD Brevard, Inc., formerly known as Leadership Brevard, Inc., is a non-profit organization established in the early 1980s by community leaders in Brevard County. It was created to maximize local potential through developing its people, initially working under a group of Chambers of Commerce collaborations. Governed by an elected Board of Directors composed of program Alumni, LEAD (formerly Leadership) Brevard has graduated over 1,000 participants since 1985, with a significant portion remaining active within the community. LEAD Brevard, Inc., recognized as 501(c)(3), shifted its focus to broaden leadership development through existing programs and newly introduced initiatives like the LEAD Institute. This institute provides ongoing training designed to lead, engage, achieve, and develop individual capabilities for community benefit. The organization transitioned to LEAD Brevard in June 2006, symbolizing this broadened mission.
