Commercial Account Executive Jim Lane recently returned to Lane Insurance after a hiatus that saw him managing the risks for public entities and telephone companies. With more than 35 years of insurance experience, Jim currently works to help small business owners protect their assets. He also advises larger businesses on risk management and ways to reduce their claims and costs. While Jim is dedicated to keeping businesses properly protected and coverages up to date, he prefers to work in the background so as not to interrupt the daily operations of his clients. In addition to his extensive background, Jim also holds Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designations. Before returning to Lane Insurance, Jim also ran the governmental affairs committee of the state-wide Iowa Independent Agents Association, which he lists as his biggest insurance accomplishment. He also volunteered on a transportation committee for 24 years.
