Lands Far Away Imports, Inc. is a family owned business established by Tina Benayas more than 18 years ago. Tina grew up in Toledo, Spain and at a very young age learned Flamenco Dance using the the Spanish fan. She was fascinated with the elegance and grace of the fans, and this began her love of Flamenco and the Spanish fan. In addition to being useful on hot summer days in Spain, the fan was expressive in it's own way. Years later, Tina came to America. She continued using fans, and for many years taught Flamenco Dance. After several years in the United States, she began importing different products from Spain, such as lace mantillas, castanets and combs (peinetas). But the first thing she imported was... Lands Far Away is now operated by Tinas daughter Leann.
