Norwegian businessman living 7 years here in Jensen Beach at this lovely part of Florida after 5 years in Virginia. ( Found I did not move far enough south, when i moved from Norway.) In my househere I got a home based Travel Agency, where i specialize in cruising. But i also customize trips to Norway, as well trips for Norwegians coming here for vacation and business. In Norway I own a restaurant and a little hotel outside of Bergen. My oldest son in Norway do the practical things there, while I take care of all contracts and payments from here. All together we have 12 employees in Norway. I came to California before I was 16 years old to sign on my second ship as a deck boy. After 3 more cargo ships on a trade around South America and up the West coast to Canada and 5 years later I had my ocean navigator license. Later on I married in Norway and was educated carpenter and became a builder. During the� 70,s and the 80's I built cabins and houses in Norway. But in 1985 I started my own chain of video rental stores as one of the first in my country. At the most I had 12 rental outlets in Norway. This is my restaurant www.vesttrade.no It is in Norwegian, but give you an idea. During this time I came a lot to the studios in California. In addition I took personal trips around in the states. So I have been to over 40 of the wonderful states in this country. Also I have been to 75 countries around the world. After I took my first cruise with the SS Norway out of Miami in 1980, I have been on 66 cruises, and still counting. The last 11 years as a travel agent. Ihave been self employed for over 40 years.
