Knights of Peter Claver, Inc., is the largest historically African-American Catholic lay organization in the United States, founded after St. Peter Claver, a Spanish Priest known for ministering to African slaves. Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, and incorporated in Florida on February 6, 2018 (Filed Number N18000001382), the organization primarily serves across various states under six divisions: Knights of Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary, Junior Knights, Junior Daughters, 4th Degree Knights, and Ladies of Grace. Governed by a Board of Directors led by the Supreme Knight and Lady, KPCLA, it is managed daily by an Executive Director and his team. Since its founding in Mobile, Alabama, the organization has expanded to include districts across the country, each represented by deputies and conference officers on the governing board. The Knights are engaged in numerous outreach initiatives, including educational plays like 'Tolton: From Slave to Priest,' which celebrates the legacy of Rev.
