She attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas on a golf scholarship. Her first 3 years of veterinary school were spent in Grenada attending St. George’s University and she completed her 4th clinical year at the University of Florida. She received her veterinary medicine degree in 2010. From there, she moved to Alberta, Canada to complete her foreign examinations and worked in general practice for 3 years. Dr. Trow joined Kissimmee Animal Hospital in September 2013. She decided to move to the area since it brings many fond memories of her vacations with her grandparents. Dr. Povilauskas is very excited to begin her career as a veterinarian with Kissimmee Animal Hospital and has interests in surgery, internal medicine and holistic medicine. She also enjoys working with the small furries such as rats and hamsters and shares her home with her skinny pig, Cinder. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, backpacking and swimming and looks forward to building up her backyard garden. Crys was born and raised in central Illinois. After working for a lawyer for several years, she took a job at a veterinary clinic that was just building a new practice. Learning for 13 years alongside those veterinarians, Crys decided to stay in the veterinary field. When she moved to Florida in 2003, she quickly found the same caring and family atmosphere at Kissimmee Animal Hospital. She has had 5 dogs and 2 cats throughout her life. Her only daughter, Brooke, has decided to work in the human medical field. But they both enjoy getting away to the beach whenever possible. Sylvia was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Even as a child, she had an interest in helping animals. Along with her siblings, they brought home anything and everything with 4 legs that needed a home. Thankfully she had very understanding parents. Sylvia began her veterinary career in 1997 as a receptionist, but quickly realized that working as a technician was where she really wanted to be. She is very interested in Emergency Medicine and worked at the Baltimore Emergency Clinic for 5 years. She truly values the experience she gained in Maryland. Her family moved to Kissimmee in January 2007 to be closer to extended family, and Sylvia began working at Kissimmee Animal Hospital almost immediately. Sylvia met her husband while serving in the U.S. Army, and together they have 4 beautiful children.
