Our company started from an idea hatched by the late CEO of The Kirlin Group, Wayne Day. The idea was to pursue Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracts from the United States Government. Specifically, our company was formed to provide an “indefinite quantity of services for a fixed time,” and to target medical repair and renewal facilities. Thus began . Our first project, a simple pharmacy repair at Fort Benning, GA was our initiation into the world of repair and renewal construction services. From that project, our work has evolved throughout the years to more than 1000 projects and over 5 million square feet of building properties and construction projects completed throughout the US and Europe. Today, through our ever-expanding project portfolio that now extends well beyond medical, we are known as Kirlin Builders Kirlin Builders has gained a sterling reputation over the years as a General Contractor performing Design/Build services. What began as construction services to government medical facilities has grown into a company that embraces innovation and design/build construction practices with projects in government, research, laboratory, dental, administrative, educational, institutional and recreational facilities from coast to coast, and in Europe. Kirlin Builders is a proud member of the following industry-recognized institutions: It was a rainy, cold day in our nation’s capital April 2nd, but members of the Kirlin Builders team showed out wearing the purple to participate in at the Lincoln and World War II Memorial. The walk, which raised money to help fund Lupus Research, was great fun, and together Kirlin Builders raised through the generous donations of our walkers’ friend and family more than $1,000 towards Lupus Research. Thanks to everyone who show up to walk, and especially those who donated to support those walkers! Kirlin Builders’ mission and purpose is synonymous with supporting our military and helping maintain their health and well being. However, we too often forget about those who have long since served and their well-being, as well. Service is a lifetime commitment. In 2015, Kirlin Builders and Joint Venture partner Donley Construction teamed up to assist a veteran family in need. Their house, ravaged by lead contamination, was unknown to them endangering the health of them and their family, and without anywhere else to turn, the DKJV team came in to lend a big hand. On April 19th, students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Atlanta, GA presented at BMH Engineering to summarize their experience in their Corporate Work Study Program. These inner-city based students, each arriving to BMH’s office every morning, participated as part of a 4-member team. With each being assigned a mentor, these students worked in an employee capacity, performing office tasks and learning AutoCAD to help with design tasks on projects. Said BMH President Jeff Hildreth: “We’ve been surprised and thrilled by the commitment of these students, and look forward to continuing the program next year.” Great job to the students and the BMH Staff for their efforts to give back in the Atlanta community! has 29 years’ experience in construction, contract administration, and cost accounting. He has been with Kirlin Builders for over 20 years, and has extensive experience in federal regulation, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Mr. Burlew believes that experience counts – that proven processes, execution, safety programs, excellent communication skills and delivery of accuracy – are important to successful turn-key design/build solutions. has over 34 years of construction experience and 19 years dedicated to the design/build acquisition process. Mr. Lemons has spent the last 17 years with Kirlin Builders and has become an expert in the area of required building codes and standards. His work includes a vast amount of experience within occupied facilities. As his primary focus is to oversee the general managing of our Regional off–ices and Construction Managers, Mr. Lemons is dedicated to delivering complex projects on schedule, on budget and with complete customer satisfaction. has been with Kirlin Builders for over 22 years. With over 38 years’ construction experience, Mr. Rohlfs has a thorough understanding of general construction, including building envelopes, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems and infrastructure, medical gas, electrical, fire suppression, and building security systems. He values cost e–ffective solutions – and implementing the right solution for your needs. His onsite expertise includes an extensive knowledge of OSHA, HIPPA, Joint Commission, ADA, and UFC criteria. Steve holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Maryland College Park.
