KEOHANE, INC., FT MYERS

in Quincy, Hingham (Pyne Keohane Funeral Home) and Weymouth (McDonald Keohane Funeral Home). In 1932, Cornelius V. Keohane founded Keohane in North Quincy. Today, his son, Ed, and grandsons, Dennis and John, work with the rest of the experienced staff to operate each home to the superior standards he set forth. With a deep connection to the and a high level of professionalism, Keohane continues to be the choice for funeral services, cremation, and advance planning. Our most important goal when sitting down with a family is to plan a memorable service for their loved one that both celebrates the individual and provides comfort to those in attendance. Together, we will discuss the various options and customize a service based on the specific needs, desires, and budget. We take pride in our professional integrity and our ability to make the process as seamless as possible in such a difficult time. We believe in maintaining strong community values. Both as a company and on an individual level, we dedicate significant time and energy to making our community a better place. As a company, we are involved in a variety of organizations, including the Rotary, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, Nantasket Chamber of Commerce, Weymouth Elks, North Quincy High School Grief Program, St. Paul’s School in Hingham, Quincy Catholic Academy, Massachusetts Memorial Tree Program, The Bosox Club, and many others. We also sponsor various youth sports teams in Quincy, Hingham, Hull, and Weymouth. Keohane Funeral Home has collected Veterans’ Flags for the Veterans’ Float of Flags in the annual Quincy Flag Day Parade for many years. The float honors servicemen and women by displaying flags given to honorably discharged veterans and to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country. It is a great event that brings the community together for a fun way to celebrate this day of remembrance. Every spring, people across Massachusetts fight back against cancer through the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days program. Keohane serves as a coordinator for this event, joining in the fight against cancer. By making a Daffodil Days donation, you will be doing more than giving or receiving beautiful flowers – you will be sharing hope by raising funds and awareness to beat the disease. In 2012, we held a coat drive throughout the month of November, encouraging people to clean out their closets and drop off any gently worn coats that they were willing to donate. Dependable Cleaners graciously offered to clean the coats, and then we were able to give them to those in need via the Wellspring Multi-Service Center in Hull, Interfaith Social Services in Quincy, and Weymouth Youth and Family Services in Weymouth. Considering we exceeded our initial goal of collecting 250 coats, this was an incredibly successful event that we plan on making an annual drive! Thank you so much for making such a difficult situation much easier for me and my whole family. The funeral could not have been more peaceful and beau... Each member of the Keohane team works hard to meet the high standards of the company, often going above and beyond. They’re the ones ensuring a seamless process for our families, well-run facilities, smooth administration processes, and overall professional integrity. Thank you so much for making such a difficult situation much easier for me and my whole family. The funeral could not have been more peaceful and beautiful. Each person I met at your funeral home has been extremely sympathetic, kind and thoughtful. It was comforting to know that each step of the way was done with such integrity and care. I know Paul would be extremely pleased with the funeral. My family and I would like to thank everyone at Keohane’s. You put the word “family” before “business” in the way you handle everything. You were caring, professional, and it was all the “little things” that you did for us that mattered most! People are still talking about your web site. Also, thank you for selecting the song “Goodbye, My Friend”. It was perfect! It also showed us how much you really listened to people talk about my Dad. I will forever be grateful! We are still amazed at the way you patiently and efficiently worked to make our son’s wake and funeral a great time of honor and remembrance. Thank you seems inadequate, we will not forget your kindness! To all the “special people” at Keohane’s, Thank you seems so inadequate for all the attention to detail you provided. Your attention to detail was so impeccable – we were so fortunate to put all the details in your capable hands. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support, help, and guidance during this most difficult time. We will not forget your kindness and professionalism. Thank you! My family and I thank you very much for your exceptional service throughout the funeral process for my husband. Your professionalism and attention to detail greatly helped to assuage our loss. Just a note to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for helping to make our mother’s wake and funeral a beautiful tribute to her memory. Everything was done to perfection and we are truly grateful for your kindness and for all you did to make this difficult time so much easier for us. To the entire Keohane team, I want to thank all of you for the warm and comforting experience that you provided for the Riley family during their recent loss. While most of us do not want to use your services, knowing that you provide such an outstanding environment for the families is very reassuring. We want to thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us at the time of Julio’s death. We couldn’t ask for one thing to have been handled any more professionally and sensitively than it was. From the moment of our first call to the funeral home, throughout the arrangements process, and especially during the wake and funeral, we were treated with dignity, kindness and compassion by everyone on your staff with whom we interacted, regardless of their role. Your funeral home was beautiful; the tasteful surroundings provided comfort as we greeted our guests during the wake and then spent private time as a family – 1during the morning of the funeral. Many people commented on how moving the DVD presentation was; thanks for making that option available to us. It served as a meaningful focal point during the wake and will be cherished in the years ahead. God bless you all for everything you did to bring us peace and comfort during an unbearable time in our lives.
