Our agility, customer dedication, and common sense solutions drive uncommon value.  Our history began in 1950 with a single warehouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee and only two employees: Jim Kennedy, Jr. and Sam Smartt. Though the company’s history is full of innovations, one of the greatest was when Kenco’s co-founder, Jim Kennedy, Jr., drafted the industry’s first management fee contract warehousing agreement with DuPont in 1967. Even more impressive is the fact that DuPont remains a customer of Kenco to this day. Since that first contract in 1967, Kenco has grown into a fully integrated logistics provider managing over 90 distribution facilities with more than 30 million square feet of space. Kenco currently serves over 200 clients with varying logistics needs.  . Our mission is to be the preferred supply chain partner in North America. and instill a lean culture across our network. This creates a company of “Lean Thinkers” focused on enhancing customer value through the reduction of cost, cycle time, waste, and defect rates. Our Risk Management System provides structure for the management of a progressive and consistent safety program across multiple sites and customers, allowing us to keep our customer’s costs lower. Our corporate sponsored program includes: Employee Safety & Health, Claims Management, Fleet Safety (DOT), and Loss Prevention & Security. Continuous improvement is the driving force behind our quality management system. Through a structured approach that allows for effective deployment and consistency we seek to reduce process, reduce variability, and increase quality. We ensure all requirements are documented according to the ISO-9001:2008 structure and are incorporated into the sites’ standard operating procedures.
