Kelly Allen is a visual artist and teacher who works with both traditional and non-traditional materials to create paintings, drawings, and sculpture. With a focus on compassion for the planet and its inhabitants, she utilizes reclaimed materials in her work whenever possible. To further her personal impact on the environment, ambition led her to
develop and operate a Creative Reuse Center in her home state of Michigan, in order to provide access to reclaimed art materials and a creative space open to all community members, diverting upwards of 8,000 lbs of materials from the landfill.
