Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Phil Kellogg and Charles Kimsey. After working as Construction Managers for regional and national firms, Phil and Charles had a strong desire early in their careers to create an outstanding general contracting firm to serve Florida and beyond. The goal has been, and always will be, to deliver the client’s desired results in a professional manner with integrity. This has been accomplished through careful recruitment and selection of employees with character, deep experience, and knowledge in their area of responsibility. David Pfeil, who has been an integral part of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc.’s growth since 1989, joined Phil and Charles as a partner in 2000. From 1986 to 1993, we built a solid foundation for the company with a diverse project portfolio of shopping centers, retail, grocery stores, and multi-family projects in Southwest Florida. In 1993, we built our first location for Barnes & Noble in Brandon, Florida that led to requests to build many others. Phil and Charles made the commitment to travel across the U.S. for construction of their stores and built over 150 locations. Other national retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, JC Penney and LA Fitness recognize and utilize Kellogg and Kimsey, Inc.’s expertise as well. Geographically, Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. has built in 85 cities in Florida and 36 states across the US. In 2017, Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. opened a branch office in Dallas, Texas and hired Shane Harvey as the Principal in Charge to head up the new division. Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. is an award winning and recommended contractor for many of the major hotel brands. Projects completed for prominent industry leaders such as IHG, Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt, and Ritz Carlton. As with our retail work, we provide our hospitality/resort clients’ great flexibility since we have the ability to travel the U.S. with multiple projects. Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. is a national general contracting and construction management firm headquartered in Sarasota, Florida with a branch office in Dallas, Texas. Since our beginning in 1986, we have served the southwest coast of Florida, where we have long been known as a superior general contractor. This reputation has grown with us as we have now completed projects throughout three-quarters of the continental U.S. We build a wide range of commercial construction projects, including retail, hotels and resorts, multi-family, restaurants, automotive dealerships, offices, and religious facilities. In addition to ground up construction, we also specialize in solving the challenges of difficult renovations, additions and tenant finish outs.
