I also serve as a quick and account-pleasing freelancer for larger agencies in need of a senior copy/concept resource who knows the ropes and can make their lives easier. The inside of Kirk Kaplan’s head is a busy place. Filled to the brim with the product of a lifelong curiosity about absolutely everything. Until 2001, Kirk served as creative director, production guru and partner at Turkel Schwartz & Partners, one of South Florida’s most visible ad agencies. In 2002, he left the pleasure of agency administration behind in order to get his hands back into the work, personally. It was a good move. These days, Kirk offers his copywriting, design, branding and extensive production skills a la carte to a select group of clients, either directly or through top-tier ad/design firms. They’re happy. He’s happy. And the work is better than ever.
