We're more than just a pretty newsletter. Eventually, Boo began sending the emails through an online e-newsletter application {a novel concept at the time}, which enabled JPEG images. This feature meant Boo could sell ads in her newsletter. JAB began to spread quickly by word of mouth, so Boo wrote a business plan, assembled an internal team, gathered an advisory board, and forged ahead. As the years went on and the business grew, readers became more attached to this coveted resource and on their own, they transformed JAB from a simple newsletter into a very special trusted network. Today, eight years and two rounds of private placement post-launch, JustAskBoo proudly circulates a carefully curated newsletter to 16,000 readers and advertisers throughout the Miami area every Friday. Who We Are With more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and public relations, Boo Zamek launched JustAskBoo in 2008. Prior to JAB, Boo worked for seven years with Coral Gables-based Kreps De Maria Public Relations and marketing as a vice president, overseeing comprehensive public relations campaigns and securing new business. Boo spent the early years of her career in the marketing and advertising industry in Atlanta working first for the Visa Olympic Headquarters, then at 360 Advertising agency {now Grey Advertising}, and then at Northern Trust Bank of Florida. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Boo was raised in Coral Gables, where she and her husband Paul now live with their two daughters. She is a board member of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, a member of Beaux Arts of the Lowe Art Museum, a member of Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, an advisory board member of several Miami start-up businesses, and a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
