JT Building Group was established in 2016 as a residential home building company in New Smyrna Beach, FL. We are dedicated to quality homes and communities that are cost effective and will last for generations. The smallest details are of utmost importance to us and, of course, the satisfaction of our customers. Born in Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, Troy Nauman has always had a passion for the growth and revitalization of his community. As a young entrepreneur, he founded Nauman Contracting in 1986, and under his leadership the company has flourished into a reputable construction and development firm. Expansion to Florida and partnership with Jim Kern were prompted by the ever growing demand for residential housing in the state of Florida. Troy's expertise in the home building sector is highly valuable and his success rate in the state of Florida James W. Kern took over The Kern Company in South Florida in 1996 and has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate business specializing in commercial investment and land entitlement. Since 1997, he has partnered with various investors to acquire 50+ properties for a total of over $150 million. His drive and success rate in the entitlement field have lead to positive relationships with many large corporations as well as state engineers and environmentalists. Partnering with Troy Nauman in 2016, Jim plans to expand into a vertically integrated development company. He holds an active Florida Real Estate Broker license and graduated from The Florida State University with honors. Our Mission Here at JT Building Group, we are dedicated to providing the growing population of Florida with beautiful homes in prime locations. We have begun production in Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, FL where the ocean laps the shore and swimsuits are the clothing of choice. For years, Florida has been the place to be for warm weather and beautiful sea shores and that lore has not changed. The ever-growing population of this beautiful state begs for more housing and expansion and that is where JT Building Group comes in.
