Joytoyou by carol, LLC, is a place in Boca Raton, Florida, where soap happens. A love of soap-crafting, inspirational writing, and creative design inspired Carol Rosenberg to combine her three passions into the eight premier soap products featured on this website—plus a Wishes & Dreams journal, because nothing’s complete without at least one book. Real clean is about taking the time to cleanse the mind and spirit, too, so it’s not just about another pretty guest soap. Joytoyou by carol soaps are made with joyful intentions and high-quality ingredients. They’re perfect for wish-making, self-care, and gift-giving. All are accompanied by wishing-and-washing directions or inspirational words for setting intentions. Joytoyou by carol began in Carol’s kitchen—and, as a matter of fact, that’s still where it is. The guest bathroom is overflowing with soap “experiments” and “testers.” Every soap is hand poured and ingredients are added fresh with each batch—a dash or smidgen of this, and a pinch or nip of that. There aren’t any big vats churning a hot, soupy concoction or cold metal machines shooting globs of soap into the molds. There’s a steady, loving human hand behind each and every soap. And there aren’t any assembly lines either. Each product is hand assembled with loving care. There’s nothing quite like being perfectly imperfect in a mechanized world. When I decided to make the joytoyou by carol soaps on this website and in custom orders, I made the only decision I could: to use high-quality ingredients. The glycerin soap base I use is labeled “100% Pure Natural Glycerin Soap: Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Vegan, Soy free, and Hypoallergenic.” Both the shea butter soap base and the oatmeal soap base are also labeled “all natural” and the glycerin they contain is of plant origin (and Kosher, too). The mica powder and mineral glitter I use to give these soaps their sparkle and pearly luster are labeled “vegan & cruelty free.” They’re specifically made for soap and other skin products, so this isn’t the glitter you glue on to craft projects. You won’t be left with a glittery sheen either, although that might be kind of nice. With regard to scent, I use only 100% pure essential oils. All of the soaps featured on this website are made with either therapeutic-grade lavender essential oil, therapeutic-grade cedarwood essential oil, therapeutic-grade bergamot essential oil, organic sage essential oil, or 100% pure rosewood oil. The product listings tell you which essential oil has been used. Always be mindful of your own sensitivities before making a purchase.
