Jim & Eileen Jones have been working together to build a thriving business in Southern Alberta since 1978, where their original focus on furniture-making & antique refinishing has evolved into art and studio furniture. Jim, a journeyman cabinet-maker since 1980, is entering a new chapter in his life after 25 years of teaching cabinet-making & design to high school students. He now spends most of his time creating one-of-a-kind furniture & spinning exotic wood-blanks on the lathe, while Eileen strives to achieve the perfect finish on his work as well as on her antique furniture projects. Her goal is, “They should feel as good as they look!” Carving and delicate painting are her latest passion. Jim & Eileen have one trait in common when it comes to their business: creativity and learning are essential. In their shop south of Claresholm, each day brings excitement & sometimes laughter at the creations that spring forth. Each day is a new adventure. Customers requiring the unusual are most welcome. Eileen and I love the smell of wood, the beauty of woodgrain, and the smoothness and depth of a fine finish. We are passionate about our designs, workmanship and materials.
