As we move into our third century we are continuing to invest in our footprint to ensure we're best positioned to serve our customers and future demand. 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of Johnson Matthey. Back in 1817 we opened our doors as assayers, testing the purity of precious metals, and the business quickly expanded thanks to the vision and determination of our founders. Our technologies are making the planet a cleaner, healthier place and improving people's lives across every continent. We organise ourselves into four sectors, aligned to the needs of our customers and the global challenges we are tackling. We're structured internally into the groups listed below, which is also how we report on our financial performance. Governments and consumers are increasingly concerned about air quality, with regulations and legislation tightening. Our Clean Air sector helps meet these challenges, helping to effectively and efficiently reduce emissions from vehicles and other sources. We have a strong business and a clear strategy to create long-term value company, and at our core is our chemistry.  We use our expertise to Within these areas we look for businesses that meet our core criteria.  They are growing, can generate attractive returns and are where our chemistry and customer focus creates leadership positions. But there is further value we create, and that is our vision for a world that is cleaner and healthier today and for future generations. As we invest and as we grow the business our sustainable business agenda is the lens through which we view total success. It is inspiring our research and development agenda and is increasingly important to our current and future employees. The board is responsible to our shareholders for our system of corporate governance, strategic objectives and the stewardship of our company's resources. They meet at least six times per year.
