Carter Mack is a co-founder of JMP Group and serves as its President. He is a member of the executive committee of JMP Group and serves on its board of directors. Additionally, he is Chairman of JMP Securities’ investment banking management committee. From the company’s inception in 1999 through 2010, Carter served as Director of Investment Banking at JMP Securities; and, from 2007 through 2010, he additionally served as Co-President of JMP Securities. Carter was a member of the IPO Task Force that provided a series of recommendations on ways to improve the IPO market in a report to the U.S. Treasury Department in October 2011. These recommendations were incorporated into the JOBS Act, which was signed into law in April 2012. Joe was previously a Senior Managing Director and senior equity research analyst at Montgomery Securities, now Banc of America Securities. In 1984, he established Montgomery Securities’ non-bank financial services research group, covering California and regional thrifts, government-sponsored enterprises, specialty lenders and mortgage finance companies over the next 15 years. In 1989, he initiated the firm’s real estate practice; and, in 1994, he launched its auto services effort. Joe was a consulting research analyst at Fidelity Management and Research in 1983 and 1984 and at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1980 through 1982, following the financial services industry as well as selected emerging growth companies in both instances. Mark Lehmann is President of JMP Securities. He is also a member of the executive committee of JMP Group and serves on its board of directors. Prior to joining JMP in 2003, Mark served both as the Global Director of Institutional Sales and as the Global Director of Equity Research at Banc of America Securities after working as an institutional salesperson at the firm and its predecessor, Montgomery Securities, for 11 years. Tom Wright is a Managing Director and is JMP Securities’ Director of Equities. In addition, he is a member of the executive committee of JMP Group. Tom received an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and a BS in economics and finance from Boston College. We dedicate this page to one of the founders of our firm, Gerald “Jerry” L. Tuttle, Jr., who passed away after a sudden illness on January 28, 2007. Jerry was our colleague and a passionate advocate for our firm; he was also a true and dear friend to many of us at JMP Group as well as to many others in the broader financial world and his community. He inspired us all. At JMP Group, Jerry was a managing director and co-director of investment banking, also serving as co-head of the financial services investment banking group. He was a member of the firm’s executive committee and its board of directors. We are committed to honoring Jerry’s professional and personal spirit and to preserving his legacy.
