In the beginning, JM Cabinets, Inc. was a sole proprietorship known as Jerry Morrison Cabinets in Oakland Park, Fl. In the late 70's and early 80's I began my woodworking career doing rough framing, decks, fences, handyman type work and finish carpentry. In the mid 80's I decided to concentrate on the cabinet and countertop trade. I did mostly kitchen and bath remodels. Occasionally I would design and build some custom furniture pieces. In the fall of 1987 Jerry Morrison Cabinets originated. I worked out of a 1500 sq ft warehouse in Oakland Park, building residential and business casegoods. My family and I had been visiting the Lake Placid area since the early 90's.In the summer of 2001 we moved to Lake Placid on a permanent basis. The existing site of JM cabinets was purchased, a building constructed and Jerry Morrison Cabinets was established in Lake Placid. JM Cabinets was incorporated in January 2004. JM Cabinets is now located in a 9000 sq ft facility on CR 621 east and employs 5 full time employees. Our business is continually expanding. JM services contractors, homeowners and businesses throughout Central Florida, Southeast Florida and Southwest Florida. JM Cabinets is a cabinet manufacturing facility using state of the art automated equipment. We manufacture standard and custom casegoods as well as laminate and solid surface countertops. A custom drawing & manufacturing computer program has been in use since the mid 90's. In June of 2007 a CNC router went in service to increase efficiency, production, variety and quality to our product line. We have invested in state of the art equipment to build precision casework and countertops. We are continually striving to satisfy our customers needs and expectations with quality cabinetry for every budget.
