Time spent working for Progress Energy afforded her the opportunity to be on the grant-making side of the aisle where she learned about leadership development, corporate culture and communications, and how large companies provide much-needed dollars to support their local communities. She is passionate about helping organizations tell their story in an authentic and organized way. In 2013, after being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38, she decided it was time for a lifestyle change. She now works to carve her own niche in the community by helping organizations lay strategic frameworks for long term success by providing what so many organizations need …. another set of eyes/hands/brain to help dig into the day-to-day work, move the needle and just generally get stuff done.
