About Me – Jeff Pries in the early 80’s when I was a kid. While I love everything (well, most everything) technology and have experience with a wide amount of technology in the IT arena, my passion is data and data visualization. More so now than ever before, we are surrounded by data and countless devices are gathering data on everything around us that we see and interact with. With all that data accumulating at record speeds, there is more need than ever for storing, managing, and visualizing that data. I primarily work within the Microsoft SQL Server ecosystem, and in particular SQL Server Reporting Services, though this is an exciting time for data visualization and new tools (both free and commercial) are maturing every day for visualizing and analyzing data — which is great for those of us who love playing with these new tools. . I watched twitter like a hawk in the hours leading up to making the drive, watching for reports on the roads in the area. All-in-all, the roads ended up being in decent condition for the drive, and I only really encountered any ice in the parking lot when I finally arrived at the hotel.
