Founded in 2003 and based in Tampa, Florida, JANSEN DANCE PROJECT, LLC (JDP) is a professional training and performance arts facility renowned for its comprehensive educational programs in dance and musical theatre. Located at 5011 Londonderry Drive with offices minutes from New Tampa Community Park and Freedom High School, JDP serves the local communities of New Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and beyond. Under the leadership of co-founders Kristen and Troy Jansen, known for their extensive backgrounds as professional dancers, Jansen Dance Project is committed to providing high-quality dance and musical theatre training. The faculty, which includes distinguished members from Collective Soles Dance Company, provides nurturing experiences that contribute significantly to students' physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth. JDP offers a Musical Theatre Program encompassing classes in acting, singing, and choreography for students in grades K-12, integrating these disciplines into full-scale musical productions. All activities, including some performances, are hosted at their newly renovated studio, which also doubles as a black-box theater space for local productions. Additionally, JDP houses the Collective Soles Arts Group (CSAG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting youth engagement in performing arts through the CSAG Dance Company and Youth Ensembles. This organization further enhances community involvement by offering its facilities for rent and collaborating with other entities for event production using provided light and sound equipment. Founded officers, Kristen Jansen and Troy Jansen, contribute their artistic and educational vision to foster a supportive environment that encourages creativity among youth in the Tampa Bay area.
