About Janet Ott With an extensive background in interpersonal communication and organizational transformation, Janet Ott offers a transforming “provocative conversation” with managers, executives and work teams. Janet Ott began her professional career as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner which included working in a field hospital in Viet Nam. She served 17 years in the Active Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant colonel in 1993. After returning from Viet Nam, Janet held a full-time faculty nursing position at both the University of Washington and Bellevue Community College. In 1982 Janet switched her focus to psychotherapy and operated a private practice for 15 years, specializing in work stress. During this same period, she facilitated two five-day workshops, “The Pursuit of Excellence” and “The Wall” for a major life, business and executive coaching firm, throughout North America and Hong Kong. “It was a privilege to help thousands of people clarify and reach their personal and professional goals.” Today, Janet has a successful and rewarding facilitation, coaching and education business.
