Jimmy worked very hard and accomplished his goal. He was always happy with his decision. Jimmy had the privilege and honor to work as a firefighter for Spring Hill Fire Rescue, Engine 2 for 11 years. There, he was part of a family, dedicating his life to helping others.James married Kim Smith August 4th, 2001. Five years later on December 9th, 2006 their son was born ... Connor James Santella. Jimmy lived for his family. He adored his son, taking him everywhere. Connor was his little buddy and he was so proud.
James Santella, a 2004 Pasco-Hernando State College graduate, was a firefighter for Spring Hill Fire Rescue, Engine 2, who put family and service to his community above all else. His passing from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, inspired the creation of the James Santella Foundation.
Our organization provides resources and financial support to area residents suffering from ALS and educational opportunities to the students of PHSC.
Our Mission
Help provide additional resources and financial support to those suffering with ALS. Donations can help offset some of the costs that are associated with care, medication, medical equipment and loss of income.
