Since operating as an individual professional engineer, thirty-five investigations and reports have been prepared for Hurricane Ivan wind and flood damages with five losses resolved by jury trials. The reports were prepared for insurance companies, individuals, and for attorneys representing owners. In 2006, the firm’s core business was sold to Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc., a larger firm based in Laurel, Maryland. Rust Engineering Company, Birmingham, Alabama Served in various capacities, structural design engineer, cost engineer, structural design team leader, and staff engineer developing computer applications program. Smith-Kelly Prestressed Concrete Co., Mobile, Alabama Responsible for engineering, manufacturing, and erection of prestressed products used in educational, commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. Southern Prestressed Concrete Company, Pensacola, Florida Involved with the sales, design, and erection of precast prestressed bridge and building products.
