Prior to founding the firm in 2003, Jim was Senior Vice President and Chief Economist for Huntington National Bank, where he had previously led the Investment Management Department. Jim also provides guidance to the Ohio Office of Budget and Management as Chairman of the Ohio Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors. Jim was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the First Bexley Bank, where he also served as Chairman of the Asset-Liability Management Committee. He has taught Macroeconomics in the Executive MBA program of the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and Investment Management and Money and Banking at Capital University. The author of a book on interest rate forecasting, Jim has written extensively on the economy, financial markets and public policy for The Founded in 2003, the firm is owned and operated by financial professionals averaging more than 25 years of experience.   Coons Advisors has offices in Columbus, Ohio, and Naples, Florida. As of December 31, 2017, the firm managed over $387 million in assets for clients in 20 states.
