James Kyle Gray started in the paint business at D.P.I Paint Company in 1988. There were three other employees named James at the time so the manager started using the middle name to save confusion. Scott Paint soon purchased D.P.I. Paint Company and James Kyle Gray soon became manager of his own store. Ten years later, to many people in the paint industry knew Kyle Gray and so the company was formed J. Kyle Gray Inc. Starting a contracting company first with Kirk Miller, Kyle Gray supplied almost all of the jobs. Each job left perfect quality work and a very satisfied customer. Word of mouth spread and business grew quickly. Kyle Gray started his own business in 2000 forming J. Kyle Gray Inc. in 2005. J. Kyle Gray continues to stay up to date with new technology as well as learning some of the old trades of lost craftsmen. Faux wood graining is becoming more popular with the cost of expensive woods, making painted garage doors and front doors look like real wood. Another growing technology is radium barriers used in attics and under carport structures to reduce heat transfer. The product REFLECT RC lowers attic temperatures to 10-15 degrees above outdoor ambient temperature. This product when applied by a certified applicator will lower electric bills while extending the life of A/C equipment located in the attic.
