Island Dream Homes is State Certified, Licensed & Insured. Bret A. Jones is the owner and contractor of Island Dream Homes based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida . He obtained his initial construction experience as a foreman for J&K Construction in Charlotte, NC from 1990 to 1993 overseeing the planning, implementation, and construction of sub divisions and trac homes. Following a decline in construction in the Charlotte area, Mr. Jones was a consultant for 10 years in the communications field. In 1997 an opportunity came to work with Space Mark, Inc., a communication subcontractor to NASA. Holding a secret security clearance and extensive communication experience from the US Air Force, he spent 5 years as a technician for the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. Bret has over 25 years in the construction industry. He obtained his license and formed Island Dream Homes in 2003. His favorite phrase is he will build anything from outhouses to penthouse. Micki helps coordinate the projects from the office and in the field. She has a bachelors degree in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design and has almost ten years in the construction industry.
