THE STORY OF ISLAND COASTAL HOMES John & Nan Manos relocated to Anna Maria Island from Michigan in 2011 and never looked back. They have been self-employed business owners since 2003. They soon discovered that being an employee was not feasible, so with an entrepreurnal mindset decided to do what they could do to remain self employed and make it in paradise. They started a very successful cleaning business which grew because of their work ethic, quality standards and integrity. Since not all employees share their same work ethic or quality standards, they found they could not move away from the “hands on” part of their business and that has been the catalyst to their real estate pursuits. Her 20 years of Interior Design experience has equipped her for success in this business. Having a degree in design is one thing, but having an eye for design is another – Nan Manos has both. She previously had two kitchen & bath showrooms in the Metro Detroit area before relocating to Florida. Cabinet design is just one facet. she can do every aspect of design, from blue prints to paint, floors to décor. Because design is truly her “happy place”, she not only has a passion for it, she also loves people…her clients become her friends. She makes her projects fun and exciting because her enthusiasm is contagious! Nan loves to work with clients to achieve their dreams of a beautiful home; that being said Island Coastal Cleaning & Design’s motto is…”Love Your Home”. His entreprenurial spirit became evident when he knocked on doors to shovel waist deep snow at 7 years old for a quarter. He went on to start up and run many businesses before his real estate career. One such business was a “calling” he felt years ago that directed him to quit a well paying job and to build a coffee shop called Divine Caffe’ in Keego Harbor, Michigan. Nan used her design experience to create a uniquely charming café and they served Jacob’s Java’s and Moses Mocha’s to a dedicated clientel for 5 years. The success of Island Coastal Cleaning and Design in Florida was instumental in helping to launch their real estate business Island Coastal Homes. John brings the same integrity, ethics, and diligence to the real estate market that he’s used in pevious business enterprises.
