The spectacular canals through the Thousand Islands provide shelter to herds of Manatee, playful Bottle-Nose Dolphin and a variety of coastal birds. Some of the birds passengers may observe while on this tour are Reddish Egret, Wood Stork, Rosette Spoonbill, Brown and White Pelican, Bald Eagle, nesting Osprey, Great Blue Heron feeding their young, Tri-Colored & Black-Crowned Night Heron, Snowy Egrets, White Ibis,Terns and Coots. Parade of Homes...You will also see how the locals live who have taken up residence along the Thousand Islands canals. Enjoy moving about the boat throughout the cruise. We began our adventure with a nice leisurely lunch at the Sunset Grill while seated in the open-air patio area overlooking the water way before the tour. The seafood and lunch was outstanding. We then took the 2:00 PM Eco Tour (2-hours). It was a beautiful day, the scenery was wonderful and the guides were knowledgeable and provided lots of humor to go with the narration. Additionally, we saw many different species of birds,... small and large; experienced many dolphins at play right next to our boat; saw several manatees, and learned many new facts about the estuary that we had not previously known. The plants and trees were varied and numerous and we learned of their importance to the fragile ecological balance of the area. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to all ages."
