Our Mission In 1970, Interpreters Unlimited was established with the mission to provide language services wherever language creates a barrier to effective communication. “Making Connections Nationwide” is not only a corporate slogan, it’s a foundation. In our business, communication is more than advertising pictures and catchy marketing phrases. Communication is the understanding and foundation of making a connection to bring diverse parties together. Indeed, it is these diverse relationships that are at the heart of our corporate spirit. Because the dialogue between an interpreter and person with limited English proficiency establishes a human connection, a sense of trust and safety with the client and business is nurtured. In 2007, Interpreters Unlimited was acquired by our current President, Sayed Ali. Since that time, the IU team increased revenue by over 500% and expanded market reach to state and federal government entities, healthcare and medical facilities, insurance companies, legal firms, universities and school districts and corporations. Today, the IU Group of companies: Interpreters Unlimited, ASIT, Albors & Alnet and ACD are headquartered in San Diego, California as a minority owned company. Interpreters Unlimited acquired Albors & Alnet in 2013 in an acquisition that doubled its employees and increased IU’s territory and service offerings. Founded in 1988 as an interpretation and transportation company that focused on providing services for the insurance industry, Albors & Alnet primarily served a Florida-based clientele. Today, it operates under IU as a national medical transportation and language services company. The medical transportation services provided through IU Albors & Alnet include: Located in Little Rock, Arkansas Spanish Interpreters & Translators (ASIT) was originally founded as a Spanish interpreting and translation company. In 2008, Interpreters Unlimited acquired ASIT and today, ASIT operates under the IU Group of companies.
