Each search begins with a thorough needs assessment with the client to define not only the key selection criteria for candidates, but also the organization’s environment, culture and mission. A comprehensive job description is compiled including the intangibles needed for success in the position.
Each potential candidate is interviewed and assessed against the position specifications to determine their fit. A thorough review of their portfolio and project list is performed to determine if they match our search criteria. Next, our interview process digs deep into the performance milestones of each candidate. By understanding how a candidate achieved success and dealt with challenges in a position we are able to uncover how their core skills, personality and behaviors work in a professional environment.
We continue our qualification process by uncovering multiple examples of individual and team driven accomplishments and challenges to ultimately create a profile of a candidate’s ability to perform. Preliminary reference interviews are then conducted in order to confirm and enhance our understanding of the candidate’s track record. All this happens before we even present a candidate for our clients review.
Each qualified candidate’s background is now presented along with portfolio samples, if applicable, and the interview process with our client begins. When the perfect candidate is selected and an offer is extended, the search consultant will participate in any negotiations so that a mutually satisfying compensation package is agreed upon. Nadia is the founder of Interior Talent. Her goal was to build a specialized recruitment firm for the Architecture and Design industry. Her vision was to create a talent resource that would change the way clients had previously viewed outsourcing their hiring needs. This has been achieved by investing time up front with each candidate in order to understand their innate talents and learned skill-sets so opportunites can be presented that align with both their professional and personal goals.
Having spent the early part of her career in financial services and real estate in her home town of Vancouver, B.C., – Nadia moved to New York to pursue her love of design and all things creative. She received her first taste of recruiting after she graduated from F.I.T in New York City and had the opportunity to work with one of the leading creative recruitment firms in Manhattan.
It was in Chicago that she first saw a need in the market for a talent resource that focused exclusively on the Architecture & Design community. Interior Talent opened their doors in 2003, followed by their second office in Orlando, Florida in 2005. You can reach Nadia directly at

Prior to joining Interior Talent, Kenneth spent nearly 15 years in a sales and operational role for Outback Steakhouse and Crunch Fitness collectively. There he enjoyed a successful career of hiring, training and mentoring hundreds of key employees. He now uses his expertise in staff development to help our candidates advance their careers while providing key employee retention strategies to our clients.
As an avid public speaker and the outside voice of Interior Talent, Kenneth has had the opportunity to share our valuable industry specific recruitment knowledge with hundreds of professionals.
