Carlos is the son of Rafael Montanez, the founder and president of Imperial Marine Construction. He grew up in Collier County, attended Lely High School and started his career by working with his Father on weekends and school holidays. After years of hands-on experience, he skillfully learned precise construction management, custom design installations and excellent customer service. Carlos can be found wearing many hats to accomplish every project such as: meeting with the clients; filing a permit with the city; custom design drawings; installing boat lifts; and conducting seawall evaluations. Growing up in the office and on site, gives an owner like Carlos a unique perspective to identifying the project’s milestones from beginning to end and accomplishing it as a team member. Mr. Montanez is a true gentleman and the Imperial Marine family are second to none in SW Florida. We contracted Imperial Marine Construction, to repair a sea wall at a property that we are renovating. During the process of renovation, as well as after the completion of it, we were and are very satisfied with the outcome of the project. Their personnel as well as the executives of the company, are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Imperial Marine Construction recently completed a total rebuild of our dock, lift, wiring and plumbing. I found the following: The Father (Rafael) and Son (Carlos) owners were on the job most everyday making sure things ran smoothly. The work crew were always polite, friendly and cleaned up at end of every day. The end result speaks for itself. I have had numerous people stop by to ask who performed the work. Rafael and his son Carlos were a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Furthermore they did not try to nickel and dime me with extras, I asked them to do a couple small extras and I was not changed.
