IFELSEWARE, INC., ORLANDO

The story of ifelseWare is more a story of its founder. ifelseWare is the culmination of a 28 year quest that began in 1987, in a suffocatingly small house in central Florida on a kitchen counter. It was there that Greg Meisel, a touring concert audio engineer, had his brand new shiny Packard Bell 386 PC computer setup. It was a beauty, with its 256 MB hard drive and a whopping four MBs of ram! Greg was now ready to conquer the brave new world of personal computing! At least that’s what he thought. There was still one problem…he didn’t know the first thing about programming. Being the self-starter that he is, Greg dove head first into any programming book he could find – remember there wasn’t really any internet at the time, bookstores were still the mecca for knowledge. There were a few BB’s trying to reach out to people who had nothing better to do than talk about nothing, much like today’s social media. became a powerhouse suite of programs that was responsible for the success of millions of dollars’ worth of staging production business for the small A/V company he was working for. In January of 2015 ifelseWare, Inc. was created and the first project on the table was a mobile app that when completed will change how musicians collaborate with one another. However, in the meantime food still needed to be put on the table, so back to the A/V world it was. Fate soon stepped in -while on a show tour as a Spyder op, Greg befriended the show’s prompter operator, Pete Greeson. A conversation was struck up by the two, discussing the short comings with current teleprompting systems and what in a perfect world scenario would be the solutions. Greg’s new company needed to grow, so naturally the xPrompter project was born and as they say, the rest will be history. Greg Meisel, Lead Developer, President and CEO, ifelseWare,Inc. With over 20 years of experience working with software and hardware development, Greg is the backbone to the xPrompter software. Throughout his career, Greg has developed numerous projects ranging from theater automation solutions to data acquisition of military command and control processes. Working with computer languages that include C#, Java, Java Script, Object C, HTML, XAML, LINQ, Visual Basic, C++, and Assembler, Greg developed programs to bridge various programming languages. Additionally, he has worked with clients to plan and execute all aspects of various projects, from managing and training team members, ensuring technical specifications to delivering products. Greg’s substantial knowledge in software and hardware development, as well as in project planning and execution, make him capable to embrace any challenge head-on with confidence. Not only has Greg been an avid software programmer for many years, he has also been working as a professional audio visual technician for the past 30 years. He became involved with the production staging industry at a young age, allowing him the opportunity to work in a variety of disciplines in the entertainment and multimedia industry. Over the years, he has worked a wide variety of events ranging from FOH audio mixing for national recording artists to technical direction of million dollar corporate productions. With a vast amount of audio-visual technician experience in various industries, Greg can confidently say that there is not a challenge that he has not already faced, giving him experience that cannot be taught in a classroom. Having spent years working hand-in-hand with teleprompting operators, Greg understands the short comings in current teleprompter software, as well as the desired features. Combining his software programming knowledge with his experience for the entertainment and multimedia production industry, he has developed a much needed program, xPrompter, to advance the technology of teleprompting software. Pete Greeson, Vice President of Market Development, ifelseWare,Inc., President, Audio Visual Services Unlimited,Inc. For over 30 years now, Pete Greeson has been a respected professional in the live production and staging industries. In 1995, Pete formed Audio Visual Services Unlimited, Inc. – a company whose first order of business was to provide the highest level of service and equipment support to clients throughout southern California. AVSU has grown considerably and is now recognized as the premier “go to” company for visiting producers and entertainers anywhere on the west coast. In the beginning many contracts required teleprompting services to be included with the rest of the production. AVSU had to hire out of town teleprompting operators, at great expense and it was out of this fiduciary frustration, Pete decided to begin handling prompter operation himself. He embarked on a purchasing spree, acquiring all the necessary equipment and available software and for more than 20 years now he hasn’t turned back. Today, Pete is dedicated to lending his wealth of teleprompting experience, along with his business accruement to ifelseWare,Inc. and the xPrompter project. AV-Playback features a floating window design enabling the user customize the layout of their Playlist and Confidence Monitor windows. Each one can be positioned and sized to suite the operator’s preference. Layouts can also be saved and recalled back directly from the Lunch Control window. When doing so everything about the last saved layout loaded including the playlists themselves. This is accomplished by leveraging the power of today’s PC’s and the fact that more of them are now providing more physical monitor outputs as well more powerful video GPU’s. AV-Playback will automatically detect all available monitor outputs and provide access to them for use by its own playlist. If the computer is unable to provide any additional monitor outputs, no problem by utilizing another copy of AV-Playback installed on another computer, you can assign that computer as a remote node and your primary or let’s say, ‘Master’ workstation will be able to connect to it and utilize it as if it had another local destination available to it. Connection is via a simple network cable. This is convenient when you need control playback on remote monitors even ones situated at a great distance, such as out front in a lobby or another room. An operator at the master workstation, now has full transport control as well as its own confidence monitor feeding back full motion video.
