Completely residential in nature, Hugh Ash Manor is designed specifically for active senior citizens who live self-reliant lifestyles. Since 1971, it has been our purpose to provide residents of moderate income pleasant living accommodations in a gracious setting. Much care is given to creating an environment rich in cultural and recreational opportunities where residents can choose new friends and have fun doing things together. With our informal concept and atmosphere, Manor residents can participate in planned activities to whatever degree they wish. Hugh Ash Manor was originally a project of the First Presbyterian Church of DeLand. Dr. Hugh F. Ash, former Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, served as Founding President. In September 2017, the property was purchased by Westminster Communities of Florida whose board of Directors oversees operations, and provides leadership for planning, construction, and guidance of the project. Residency is open to persons of any faith, creed or race. Residents need not be professing Christians, although Christian standards will be maintained in the operation of The Manor.
