About Housing and Assistive Technology (HAT) Housing and Assistive Technology, Inc. (HAT) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that was established in October 2003. We have over 20 years of experience in the areas of environmental accessibility assessment consultation, physical medicine, rehabilitation, assistive technology products and services for the disabled, regardless of age or disability, and for seniors. HAT partners with allied health professionals, assistive technology providers, architects, engineers, and licensed general contractors. HAT Mission Statement Our mission is to improve the quality of life and maximize independence for seniors and persons with disabilities, regardless of age or disability. We achieve this by removing architectural barriers, completing housing rehabilitation repairs and implementing design adaptations and assistive technology solutions. HAT provides safer and healthier living environments through accessible design solutions and resident home rehabilitation. Our staff is dedicated to serving everyone's design and construction needs.
