I GET IT. From the time my beloved pup, Lord Loxley, was a tiny guy I didn’t trust anyone to take care of him except my mother. When I moved to Florida 19 years ago I continued to drive my sweet Loxley to Louisiana for my mom to care for whenever I went away, even for a weekend. I needed someone to love and care for him exactly as I did, even though he was extremely low maintenance. It is truly my pleasure to get to know your pup’s needs and desires while you are away and treat them like a member of our family. After retiring early from a 29 year career with Delta Airlines, I wanted to do something I really loved and to make a difference in the lives of others. As I had always been the neighborhood pet sitter in my home for all of my friends’ pups, the decision was made for me. I worked for and managed a large, successful Pet Sitting company for nearly 3 years. I then wanted to devote more time to just the 4 legged clients and branched out on my own. I truly do get it. I will do whatever it takes to make my guests feel at home. While I would never profess to take your place, I do have many dogs, while extremely happy to see their parents when they come to pick them up, having to be coaxed to leave my home.  I am Red Cross first aid and CPR trained, licensed, fully insured and love doing what I do. It is truly a pleasure every day to wake up and go to bed knowing I am making a difference in the lives of my 2 and 4 legged friend’s lives. If your pooch is accustomed to sleeping in bed with you, the more the merrier is my motto. If you have rules against such things, I have doggy beds all around me for those accustomed to sleeping a la cart and a large playroom with cozy beds as well. Your rules are my rules. I do not have crates or kennels but if you prefer your dog be crated at night, please bring one along and I will certainly abide by your wishes.  I look forward to meeting you and your pup(s). After his/her first visit with me, you will absolutely have peace of mind that you did the right thing for your fur baby.  In addition to daily texts or emails with photos and updates included, you can call me anytime to get a verbal verification on how things are going. We offer a playful and cozy environment for doggy sleepovers, located in a private home in a quiet waterfront community. This is not a stuffy resort or kennel facility. Our home is offered to well behaved pups who would rather cuddle on a comfy couch and have unlimited walks and outdoor playtime than be cooped up in a noisy, cold, cement floor cage.  We do not have cages, kennels or runs.  Our fenced, tropical back yard, toy filled playroom and comfy couches and beds offer ideal accommodations for couch potatoes or high energy pooches. Whether they prefer lazing on our doggy hammocks watching the manatees go by or catching Frisbees and chasing lizards under the back yard palms, they will be happy here. If they sleep in bed with you, they are welcome to sleep with me. We are conveniently located 10 minutes west of TIA. I pride myself in taking excellent care of my guests and making them feel at home from the instant they step through the door.
