The origins of Houck Talent trace back to Dustin's early career when he was cast as a toy soldier in Walt Disney World's Christmas parade during his high school years. This experience marked the beginning of an illustrious career that saw him ascend through various roles, from stunts on inline skates and stilt walking to performing as atmosphere and face characters. While fostering his passion for performance, Dustin explored opportunities within the business side of entertainment, working as a nightclub DJ in Orlando and Miami. Further honing his skills, he interned at House of Blues' Promotions and Talent Booking department during college, focusing on contract negotiations and event marketing. Upon graduation, Dustin returned to Universal Orlando Resort's family for a full-time role as Venue Coordinator, subsequently joining their Talent Booking and Casting team. At this position, he played a critical part in scouting and securing talent across the park, including renowned names like James Brown and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Notably, he received an Excellence in Leadership Award within the entertainment division. Today, as Executive Producer of Houck Talent, Inc., Dustin leads his team in delivering comprehensive entertainment services, from parade development and headline acts to creative costuming and thematic show production. Houck Talent has been recognized for its impactful contributions with accolades like being named a '40 Under 40' honoree by the Orlando Business Journal. Incorporated in Florida with File Number P05000052970 on April 11, 2005, the company operates from its headquarters at 4630 S. Kirkman Road and maintains an active annual reporting schedule.
