OUR PHILOSOPHY At Hota Design Studio we see the world as a continuous space. We believe that design has the ability to merge the exterior with the interior including the spaces between. As we understand our impact on the built environment, we are also mindful of those who may interact with the spaces we create. Our influence is rooted in the thoughts and visions of our clients, providing a basis for innovative and creative design solutions. Hota Design did a fantastic job in helping us design our vision for the new look at TCA. Their eye for coolness is fantastic, their creativity is off the chain and their follow through is more than expected. Hota Design Studio principals, Jose Cardenas and John Perez, provided ID services for the conversion of 4,000 SF of unfinished space into new offices for our Douglas-Coffee County (Georgia) Chamber of Commerce. Our completed facilities are just dazzling, and we are well-pleased with the collaborative services by Hota Design Studio. These are gifted, talented people and were a pleasure to work with. They provided simple and sound, but creative pleasing concepts, good construction details, superb material selections and excellent recommendations for furniture and furnishings. We could not be more impressed or pleased with the work of Hota Design Studio, and highly recommend their services. Jose Cardenas received his Bachelor of Design Degree in Interior Design from the College of Architecture, University of Florida in 2002. Upon completing his studies, Jose began work with a multidisciplinary Architectural firm located in Jacksonville Florida. Provided with opportunities to design for a variety of project types, Jose was able to experience projects ranging from tenant improvement to large-scale new construction of educational facilities. This experience within a mid size multidisciplinary firm had allowed him to develop strong skills in all aspects of the design profession ranging from initial client meeting and conceptual development to construction documentation and project management. After graduation, he was employed at a small design firm, where he had the opportunity to design various projects. Working at a small design firm offered him the opportunity to work hands on with his clients, contractors, engineers, and architects early in his career. He relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 2004, where he was employed at Rink Design Partnership Inc., a mid-sized, multidisciplinary architectural firm. In 2010, he started Hota Design Studio. LLC, a small, boutique firm specializing in commercial and corporate design. Hota Design Studio. LLC has completed projects in Georgia, Virginia, Texas, Massachusetts, and Florida. Notable projects include Zeds Restaurant in Austin, TX, and the HMX-1 presidential helicopter maintenance hangar at Quantico, VA.
