Who We Are Dennis Deruelle MD, FHM is currently the National Director of Innovation for IPC, The Hospitalist Company, after serving as Regional Medical Director and Practice Group Leader in the Florida region for several years. In 2009, Dennis founded Hospitalist Information Partners, HIP, where he is President and CEO. He came to IPC after his private hospitalist practice was acquired by IPC in 2007 and has been active in hospitalist medicine for the last nine years. He currently is a member of the National Business Development team, National Advisory council, Information Technology committee and Medical Affairs committee. As National Director of Innovation at IPC, he conceived and developed their novel initiative S.H.I.N.E., Shared Healthcare Innovation for Nationwide Excellence. This is a proprietary portal for sharing the best practices among their 2,000 hospitalists. He also developed their VIP care program, a concierge hospitalist practice, focusing on specialist co-management. Dr. Deruelle is a national speaker and thought leader for several leading pharmaceutical companies and has been speaking and advising in the pharma industry for over 15 years. He is President of the Society of Hospitalist Medicine for the Gulf Coast Chapter, Florida. He is a national consultant in health information technology and was founder and CEO of First Hand Information Systems,which was acquired by XLTech of Arkansas and became Point of Care Solutions. He successfully guided software development and integration forming partnerships with Blue Cross Blue Shields and Soapware. As a business consultant for International Paper, he co-developed technology to improve patient adherence through smart packaging and text reminders in partnership with Augme Mobile.
