In August of 2008, Horn of Salvation Ministries was founded by Aaron and Kimberly Burgin; along with their children Alisha, Audrieanna, and Asia. By the leading of the Holy Spirit they started a Thursday night Bible Study in a local housing project in Jacksonville, Fl. After experiencing immediate growth, they were able to start holding a Sunday Morning Worship service on the property inside of the gym. Following the vision that God laid upon their hearts and to meet the needs of God’s people, they began by feeding breakfast to anyone that would come and attend service. During this time, from August 2008 to January 2010, the ministry feed over 250 people with hot meals before the services were held. Through preaching, counseling, and prayer there was a significant increase in the quality of life for the people living in the housing project. In 2014, Horn of Salvation moved to its current location on 2421 West Beaver St. This location is over 5,000 square feet, over three times the size of the previous location. A $30,000 renovation was completed on this property in order to better serve the community Outreach efforts have grown in capacity due to the increased space. Horn of Salvation hosts several outreach events throughout each year. These events provide food, clothing, school supplies, and life application seminars to the community free of charge. In near future Horn of Salvation, in connection with Shofar Bible College, will open its Economic Empowerment Center. The purpose of this center will be to collectively take outreach efforts to a higher level. We cannot wait to see what God is going to do nex!
