Honey Shine, Inc., founded in 2002 by Tracy Wilson Mourning as the HoneyShine Mentoring Program, has evolved significantly over the past two decades. In 2010, it attained 501(c)(3) status and became registered as Honey Shine, Inc. Based in Miami, Florida, its mission is to foster a balance of mind, body, and soul for girls and young women by providing enriching nurturing experiences that illuminate their paths and empower their futures. The program offers a dynamic space for self-expression where participants—referred to as "Honey Bugs"—end each session by documenting their thoughts and ideas on various subjects. This practice emphasizes the importance of voice and encourages Honey Bugs to transcend stereotypes, envisioning themselves as strong leaders in society. Furthermore, Honey Shine collaborates with dedicated mentors who not only provide attention and encouragement but also share invaluable wisdom aimed at inspiring these young women to achieve their dreams.
