The Home of the Nazarene offers hope to the hopeless. The drug user has to desire to stop taking drugs but does not know how to. It is necessary for them to be productively living drug free lives in Jesus Christ. The Home of the Nazarene gives them the solution. We are not just any other program. Our program is based on the word of God. We teach them how to be completely free from the dependency of drugs and alcohol and other life controlling issues. Please consider donating to help our cause. “Alejandro is a 57 year old man who lived with an alcoholic addiction for 40 years. His life was normal to his understanding he was married, had two amazing young boys. He saw his life collapse when his ex-wife told him she couldn’t live the life she was living. He thought he was doing no harm but in fact to himself he was. Alejandro, found the Home of the Nazarene through and old family friend. When he arrived to the Home he felt this comfort where he knew he can walk out as a changed and a restored man. He saw God working in his life. He had no hope with his physical well-being. After being clean he went to the doctor and saw that he was physically doing better he knew then his life was only beginning. That God had a purpose with him. His love for the Home of the Nazarene only grew bigger his relationship with the students was a big bond. Alejandro is our current supervisor. His family and his sons are beyond happy with the man he has become. We are not only grateful for his help but beyond blessed to see the change in him and how he has been a substantial help in the Home and shoulder to help the students. ” “Jorge Rivera is currently 31 years old and has known about the Home of the Nazarene for over 10 years. Back in 2005, Jorge entered the Home at the age of 20 with a very heavy use of drugs. At that time he knew he needed deep help he took the first flight he could from Puerto Rico to Miami. He pursued his year and graduated the program in 2006. He left the Home serving and determined to be the changed man he strived to be. He relapsed years later and found himself at his lowest. Jorge knew he could call the Home of the Nazarene and explained his situation. He returned and is currently working on finishing his restoration phase. He has acknowledged that he let the fire and love of God die out of his life. Jorge is eternally grateful for the Pastor opening the doors for him to come and rekindle that fire and love for God. He is currently serving and is staff at the Home. Jorge’s plans are to stay and continue serving in the home and have decided to stay until God moves him elsewhere. Jorge plans to keep working and helping in the ministry. He has grown this love to serve, and pray with the guys, teach classes in the mornings to encourage them to seek God with all their heart and believe they can be changed men of honor and men of God.” “Angel Terrero entered the Home of the Nazarene in 2009 with a desperate need to seek help. Constantly in and out of jail, going into different programs. Angel stated he met Christ in jail but never truly had the redemption to change until he found himself in the Home of the Nazarene. Having the life he lived he knew he wanted and needed a change and he persevered to find hope in God. Angel did all the phases of the program, sang in the worship team, and graduated preaching the word of God. Angel is currently one of our youth leaders, assistant Pastors with his district ministers’ license and has not only preserved in excellence in ministry but Angel took the initiative to go back to school. Till today Angel is graduating with his bachelor’s degree and is valedictorian of the class of 2016 at Trinity University. Angel, is currently still serving and an extremely great example in our church. ”
